Sie bietet eine topologische Ansicht, die zeigt, wie Wasserläufe miteinander verbunden sind. Dabei können einerseits die Längen der Gewässer angezeigt und andererseits die Gewässer nach ihrem Zusammenfluss (Konfluenz) gruppiert werden.
