'Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting'

  • Based around metadata harvesting model
  • Metadata about resources
  • HTTP based
  • GET / POST requests
  • XML responses
  • Uses unqualified Dublin Core
  • Stable (OAI has committed to making subsequent revisions of the protocol backwards compatible)
